Physical Appearance: Marietta has curly reddish-blonde hair that she keeps well brushed. She is very skinny because she counts her calories carefully. She's tall, a feature which makes her very self-conscious, especially next to Cho. Her skin is very pale and she has large light blue eyes that stand out compared to the rest of her. All in all she looks fragile, like a china doll.
Personality: Marietta is shallow sometimes. She cares about what people think about her: her appearance has to be perfect, she's careful of what she says and does. She loves gossiping and giggling as long as it's not about her. She's not brave at all -she's a rather weak person, though she'd never admit it. She tends to be self-centered, putting herself before others when making decisions. She tends to look down on people. Her friends mean the world to her and she likes spending all her time with them. She is naturally intelligent. She can't lie because her emotions are always written all over her face. Her self-esteem is rather low. She doesn't forgive herself easily and she's her own worse critic. But really, Marietta is a sweet, friendly girl underneath all her false appearances. She's just made a few mistakes.
Brief History: Marietta is a pureblood and she has always been rich. Her father died when she was 7. She misses him terribly even now and won't let herself forget about him. She was raised mostly by her mother, a strict yet loving woman. Marietta loves her mother dearly because she's all Marietta had growing up. (She's an only child.) Her mother has a powerful job at the ministry of Magic: she's in charge of the Floo Network at the Department of Magical Transportation. Madam Edgecombe was a big supporter of Umbridge and was suspicious of Harry Potter and, naturally, so was Marietta. When Marietta joined Dumbledore's Army last year, she was torn between her loyalty to Cho (her best friend) and her loyalty to her mother. She thought that she was doing the right thing when she told Umbridge about the DA. She felt guilty about it afterwards.
Other Info: Marietta likes to read her horoscope every day. She's very superstitious.
